Darüşşafaka High School

Darüşşafaka High School is one of the most prominent and influential schools of Turkey, located in Sarıyer, Istanbul. The school was founded by Darüşşafaka Association with the name of "Darüşşafakatü'l İslamiye" in 1873. This date is controversial and some sources claim it is 1872. However, there is a consensus that the school is started education in 1873 in Fatih, Istanbul and the first graduation occurred in 1881. The school is moved to its current location in 1994.
